Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information TileMana ("Software"), provided by Yuto Nakanishi (sole proprietor, "we", "us"), collects and how it is used. TileMana is designed with privacy in mind: it does not include analytics, telemetry, or tracking.

1. What we do not collect

The Software does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Usage statistics or analytics.
• Window contents, screen captures, or keyboard input.
• Names, titles, or contents of the windows you tile.
• Your name, location, IP address, or device identifiers beyond what is required for license verification.

2. Data stored locally on your device

The following data is stored locally in macOS Keychain and never leaves your device:

• The date your trial period began.
• Your activated license key, if entered.

3. License verification

When you enter a license key, the Software contacts Paddle.com once to verify the key. The license key string and an anonymous activation request are transmitted to Paddle. After successful verification, the result is cached on your device and no further network requests for verification are made under normal use.

Paddle.com acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases and license issuance. Their handling of personal data is governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy.

4. Update checks

The Software periodically checks for new versions by requesting a public update feed (appcast.xml) hosted by us. This request includes your current version number and standard HTTP headers such as the macOS version. No account or personal information is sent.

5. Purchases

When you purchase TileMana through Paddle.com checkout, Paddle collects the personal information needed to process the transaction (name, email address, billing address, payment method). We receive a notification from Paddle that the purchase was completed, including your email address so we can deliver your license key. We do not receive your full payment card details.

6. macOS permissions

TileMana requires the macOS Accessibility permission to move and resize windows of other applications. This permission is granted by you in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, and is used exclusively for window management. No data acquired via the Accessibility API is transmitted off your device.

7. Children's privacy

The Software is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

You can:

• Delete locally stored data by removing the TileMana entries from macOS Keychain Access.
• Request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing us.
• Withdraw your purchase under the conditions described in our Refund Policy.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
